At Aspire we are all about a minimalist approach enhancing your natural beauty to help you feel and look good.
PDO Threads
PDO Threads utilise a biodegradable polyester suture to stimulate collagen production, designed to tighten the skin over time.
PDO’s are inserted via a needle or cannula, and the procedure typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. A non surgical procedure may improve sagging skin, dermal thickness and elasticity. Patients often experience mild swelling, redness and bruising that subsides over the following 48 hours.
A consultation with our experienced registered nurse, Tiffany, is required for first-time clients before your treatment.
What are PDO threads?
PDO (polydioxanone) threads are fine, absorbable sutures placed under the skin to create a lifting effect and stimulate collagen production over time.
What areas can be treated?
PDO threads can be used in various areas, including the cheeks, jawline, neck, and other parts of the face and body, depending on your needs and suitability.
Is it painful?
Local anaesthetic is used to keep you comfortable during the procedure. You may experience mild tenderness or swelling afterwards, which usually settles within days.
How long do results last?
This varies between individuals, but many people see an effect that can last several months as collagen continues to develop. A consultation will help give you a personalised timeframe.
Is there downtime?
Most people can return to daily activities within a few days, bruising and swelling should be expected to last up to a week. We will will provide aftercare instructions to support healing.
Frequently asked questions
I’m considering a cosmetic procedure; do I need a consultation?
Yes. We recommend a consultation prior to your treatment day. Consultation is key to achieving your aesthetic goals. In a consultation at Aspire we will discuss your goals, realistic outcomes and design a tailored treatment plan for you.
Will I need time off work after my procedure?
Most of our cosmetic procedures are minimally invasive and require minimal or no down time. It is normal for some clients to experience some minor bruising, redness and swelling that often resolve in up to 48 hours. We will provide clear instructions at your consultation on your after-care requirements and you have an amazing after balm in the store to help your recovery.
Can I have Dermapen Treatments with other cosmetic procedures?
Yes. In fact, the combination of cosmetic procedures and Dermapen is the ultimate package when it comes to anti-ageing. We do recommend 2 weeks between Dermapen treatments and other procedures.
Why can't I find your price list or results?
Due to TGA and AHPRA advertising regulations, we are unable to discuss all the medical treatments we offer at Aspire, including pricing and before and afters. We recommend booking a consultation where we can develop a custom treatment plan for you, as well as discuss pricing.
What if I don't know what treatment I need?
A consultation is the best start for anyone considering cosmetic and skin treatments. This appointment is obligation-free and allows us to explore treatments in a judgement-free way. You can discuss your concerns and we will outline treatment options, risks and other considerations.
Can you pierce my childs ears?
Yes, we offer ear piercings for children and adults in our beautiful treatment room. Ditch the pharmacy and audience and bring your child into a clean and sterile environment for a great experience.
